To the right was the mainlioe of the former Mississippi Central, which was bought by the IC in 1969. The MC is still in service to Brrokhaven. To the left is the northwest leg which allowed the IC uo access the Port of Natchez and to interchange with the small MoP yard just west of this location. Continuing away from you is the MC approach to their end of track as well as the IC line to their depot on the river front. At one time, the IC line continued all the way to Jackson, MS. |
