New Orleans to Chicago pig train, I-02 is seen sitting on the main just south of Monroe St. on the south side of Grenada. They are waiting on southbound pig train, I-01 to get close to Grenada so they can pull into the siding. They would wait for the other train to get close to minimize the time the crossings are blocked while in the siging. The 6,113 ft. siding here has 4 street crossings. That Amtrak engine seen here is deadheading back north, it had been involved in a crossing accident. |

I walked outside my house to watch this empty grain go buy and to my surprise it stopped, then Conductor James Cobb got off and told me to take him to the rear of his train to see if he was going to clear Country Club Road and to take him to get something to eat. Turns out they had to stop clear of Monroe Street until a southbound train got in the clear at Grenada. |
