Description:  For a minute or two this train was stopped by red signals facing west until the signal on the main track facing east was turned on to red, allowing this eastbound to continue its last lap into Minneapolis. Some of the units doubtless were along for the ride not providing power, as in at least the case of the MP15.

Description:  At least it does on the signal power box at the grade crossing on the west side of the depot grounds. "No train horn 10 P.M. to 7 A.M." huh. What if there is a drunk on the tracks here? Can the enginner blast the horn in an emergency? Hope so. Train horns are annoying, yes, but they can save your life too.

Not so today: here we have two BNSF GE's toting a short string of heavy-duty industrial hoppers (only way I can describe 'em) through town as traffic flows on nearby Hig–way 12. Anybody know what they're hauling is called?

Description:  I swear, eastbounds stop for the signals on this stretch of the Wayzata sub often enough you might as well name it after the highway sign in the foreground. Today a pair of dash-nines are the ponies the engineer and conductor have at their disposal at the head end of a short general freight that unfolded like this -tank cars, covered hopper cars, three boxcars, then more covered hoppers and tank cars. Anybody know what the symbol of this train was?

Title:  There Goes The DPU
Description:  The DPU unit on an eastbound unit sand or potash train taking the hole at Long Lake emerges from the other side of my pedestrian bridge vantage point as the train nears a stop prior to a meet with two ex-BN SD60s toting a rotary plow/locomotive combo west ... a train I utterly failed to catch due to a couple foul-ups with my camera! Oh well, the light *was* fading since it was near dusk by this time.
