Description:  The PGR 36 waits on the west side of the 35W bridge on a gorgeous early afternoon in late April. It was sitting unmanned due to the PGR's "push/pull" operations on the line utilizing units at each end of their trains. At this moment the crew was using PGR 34 to switch their freight house, leaving the 36 to create the illusion of an oncoming train down at the bridge. I still kept my distance regardless. Better safe than sorry, folks.

One More Ride
Title:  One More Ride
Description:  A northbound Blue Line arrives at 28th Street station late in the morning on Memorial Day 2015. I was only going as far as Amercian Boulevard station, where I would walk up to Ft. Snelling National Cemetery to thank vets and honor those who gave their lives for America. Then it would be back to American Boulevard and back to 28th Street, where my car was parked. At the end of my trip to the cemetery, I found out my mother was finally going to move from HCMC to a care facility in the suburbs, which meant my LRT rides today will be my last for awhile.

Description:  The 0630 ctew pulls out the northbound cars from the consist. The hopper car contains salt from J.B. Hill Company in St. Louis Park, while the six boxcars were picked up at Western Avente Yard in Golden Valley. I do not know where the Hill Salt car is going, probably it was up to Humboldt, but the boxcars were probably going to an industry located east of Glenwood Junction that CP serves.

Description:  The 0630 crew pushes seven northbound cars onto Nesbitt Siding. After tkey drop off the interchange for Progressive Rail at Nesbitt, they will run up to the other end of the siding, couple on, and take the Hill Salt car probably to Humboldt Yard and the boxcars to an industry located east of Glenwood Junction that Canadian Pacific serves. The 0630's crew is thus only halfway through their work on this fine Labor Day 2015.
