GLLX 3001
Title:  GLLX 3001
Description:  Built in 1972 by GMD in London, ON as Canadian Pacific #5595. After years of service, it wound up being sold to a leasing firm, which then sold it along with 2 other ex CP SD40-2's to Great Lakes Locomotive, who in turn leased them to Marquette Rail. The arrival of these units in 2006 allowed leased Ohio Central SD40-2's 9934 and 4223 to be returned to the OHCR. #3001 arrived in battered, dirty, patched CP paint and was eventually sandblasted to the point where it looked like vomit. In late 2007 it was repainted in the Manistee engine house and to this day is the only MQT unit painted like this. The GP38-2's sport Marquette lettering and logos, and GP38-2 #2005 hears it's own special MQT paint job, but 3001's livery has not been duplicated. The other two SD40-2's are primer gray, and will likely stay that way until Genessee & Wyoming takes over.
