PRR 446, Street Tractor, 1954
Title:  PRR 446, Street Tractor, 1954
Description:  Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad Street Tractor #446. Built in Juniata, it is a rubber-tired, gas-electric machine with standard couplers, grab irons, footboards, and air brakes; it's steered with a huge, vertically-mounted wheel ~ not unlike the helm of a sailing ship! Photo taken on 23 October 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland. Roy Healey Collection; #1 of 16. (#3,333)
