We're facing west on the Espee main line at milepost 64.5. The covered shed on the left was used to transfer fish meal from a plant at Bayou Ramos -- about 10 miles west of here -- from trucks into boxcars and covered hoppers. The siding was worked by train No. 54, the Morgan City-Avondale Local. Today, the shed is gone and the track belongs to the BNSF. |
