Description:  L&N RS36 913 at Corbin, Kentucky on September 23, 1979, photo by Gib Allbach, Chuck Zeiler collection. This is possibly the second to last RS36 built. Production began in late 1961, with the first units going to the NKP in February 1962. The unit pictured was built for the Tennessee Central as number 304 (c/n 84407), built in April 1963, delivered in June, sold to the L&N in early 1968 when the TC declared bankruptcy, becoming L&N 913. All TC's RS36's ended up on the L&N, TC 301-305 becoming L&N 910-914.
