Description:  Here's an unusual sight. A coal train running between Lost Springs and Topeka. A derailment west of Salina (most likely due to a sun kink) has caused UP to run this Texas to Colorado coal empty north out of Lost Springs to Herington (about 10 miles apart) to Topeka then west to Marysville to North Platte, to Cheyenne and down to Denver as opposed to simply running Lost Springs to Abilene to Salina to Sharon Springs Limon and Denver. Not the most extreme case of detouring but it's pretty wordy to explain.
