Today Nick and Ethan are beginning our big 2 Day Railfanning Trip on the NS and CSX Mainlines in Indiana and Ohio. Today we are going to follow the Waterlevel Route from New Carlisle, IN-Edgerton, OH hoping to catch a few South Shore trains in Lydick. This is the first time we have taken a 2 day trip together and we are hoping to catch plently of trains. The first train I caught all by myself. If it werent for construction work in town none of us would have seen this train. NS 1078 leads NS 26W east through New Carlisle to begin the day. |

The Savannah and Atlanta heritage unit trails 2nd on NS 265. There was very heavy maintenance work ahead at Laporte, and this train ended up stopping, pinning us from our vehicle which was on the other side. Thanks to the helpful aid of a local lady who lived in Hudson Lake, she offered to take us over to the other side. We could not thank her enough for her generosity! |
