The KCS 4697 was added to the lead of 220 in Birmingham, Al. after the 2536 developed mechanical problems, the 2536 had traction motor & dynamic brake problems, I'd rather the 2536 led, but still a good consist regardless, could've been worse, I feared an NS GE widecab would be added to the lead of 220 & had that happened this photo wouldn't exist

Description:  NS Eastbound Intermodal Train 24E ( Meridian, Ms. to Atlanta, Ga. ) sweeps around the curve as they pass through Lovick, Al. on their way to their final destination of Atlanta, Ga. 24E is one of several trains interchanged from KCS to NS in Meridian, Ms., intermodals include 220, 219, 24E, & 23E, when second sections of these trains run they use an I prefix, such as I20, I19, I3E, I4E, theres also a few freights & a rock train that interchange to NS in Meridian, Ms. such as 340, 339, & the rock train runs as 66G & 67G. The 339 & 340 are trains to & from Shreveport, La. & Birmingham, Al.
