Description:  Old Rivets. Here is an original 35mm color slide that was taken at Conrail's Electric Locomotive Shops in Wilmington, Delaware. Shown here is engine #4800, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built by General Electric for the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "4899" during August of 1934, rated at 4,620 horsepower, renumbered "4800" in November of 1934, owned successively by Penn Central and Conrail, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded.

Description:  One of the things about Conrail was that units would turn up in unusual places. While its not far from home, prior to CR, who would have expected a Reading GP 30 working on the PRR in Delaware?? As the combined like units in a certain area, power moved around some, and here we find the result. How about that Pennsy hopper!!
