Description:  On the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks on New York City and Washington DC, Pacific Harbor Line MP20B-3 20 works a cut of cars at the railroads Pier A Yard in Wilmington, California. Number 20, the PHLs lowest numbered unit, was recently modified with a Caterpillar prime mover, and that resulted in a new hump on the top of the long hood.

Description:  Southern Californias Pacific Harbor Line rostered two SD40T-2 locomotives, and they are both in storage at their Pier A Yard in Wilmington, California. PHL 51 is the former Southern Pacific 8550, while PHL 50 is ex-SP 5412, which was Rio Grande 5412 before that. Too bad these never got painted into the roads black and silver-stripe scheme - they would have looked sharp!

Title:  PRLX 2006
Description:  Progress Rail Services PR22B 2006, which is testing on the Pacific Harbor Line, is getting serviced in the PHLs Pier A Yards enginehouse on September 11, 2011. This four-axle GenSet demonstrator has three Caterpillar 745 hp C18 engines, for a total horsepower rating of 2,235 hp. Each of these engines is housed in its own compartment, which can be easily swapped for a new compartment for maintenance. There are sizable gaps between each compartment, as well as between them and the cab and the engines end, giving this engine a unique appearance.
