Penn State Classmates, 1973
Description:
AHC. Here is an original photo that I took at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, during August of 1973. Shown here are two of my Penn State-Harrisburg classmates: Twyla Jean King and Charles Ottaviano, both of Middletown, Pennsylvania. Behind them is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1361, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata in May of 1918, retired in September of 1956 after 2,469,000 miles, enshrined at the Horseshoe Curve in June of 1957, restored for excursion service in April of 1987, withdrawn for safety reasons, disassembled for repairs, and still awaiting resuscitation.

Penn Central 8147
Description:
NOT MY PICTURE, but I found this gem while doing some research on how to model the heritage of my all time favorite locomotive, NS 5322. It was previously CR 8147, and PC 8147. This site has plenty of shots of it in its CR and NS liveries, but none in its PC. I will do you guys that service. I do not know who initially took the picture, but I respectfully thank whomever took the shot!

PC MoW Tool Shed, 1974
Description:
AHC. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 11 August 1974. Shown here is the venerable Maintenance-of-Way Tool Shed, as seen from trackside. Looks to me like it's seen better days!
