Shown here is the North Philadelphia Passenger Station in the foreground. The PRR's control tower at this location is just beyond the Station. Once upon a time, long ago and far away, this was both a busy and important Station; this is where passengers would transfer from north- and southbound trains to trains from or to westbound destinations ~ 24/7/365. Sometimes there was enough time between trains to catch a good meal at the resturant located on the Station's second floor.
