ALCO RS-11 YDHR 3612 provides power at the rear, as Thomas the Tank Engine makes a celebrity appearance in Uxbridge. Huge turnout as the little town Northeast of Toronto hosted this special railroad visitor - much to the delight of a whole bunh of kids (and some grownups, too). Here, the train is just leaving the Uxbridge Station, built in 1904, and passes a huge empty lot where the town CO-OP Grain Elevators stood until a few years ago. |

The York Durham Heritage Railway has just acquired some new passenger cars from the Ontario Northland Railway. So far, only two have arrived but there are another two which are on their way. As a matter of fact; I've seen these two cars standing on a storage track in the CN MacMillan yard about a month ago. I can't wait to see these cars be used to pull tourists through the spectacular scenery of this area. |
