Description:  A CN train taking the northeast connecting track from Stevens Point towards Wausau is just about to enter the former Milwaukee Road line. The train will continue north towards Wausau only far enough to clear this turnout with the rear of the train. Once the train is clear of this turnout, it will then reverse direction and back onto the northwest quadrant connecting track. The train will continue this reverse move util it is once again on the former Soo Line R.o.W. facing Stevens Point, having turn itself via the junction. Once on the Soo Line R.o.W., the train will be waiting for a while. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to find out what for, or for which way it would go once it departed.

The unique and interesting union depot stood to the right, the northwest quadrant of the junction. The two sets of concrete steps on the right are just about all that remains of the Commercial Hotel, which stood on the north side of the depot.

Description:  A solid train of hoppers waits south of the diamond at Junction City. The tain will soon be given clearance to move through the interlocking and head to it's left tn the west. The view is from the heart of the city looking south along the former Milwaukee Road right of way that ran from New Lisbon north to Wausau and beyond. The e`st west line through Junction City was the Soo's (WC) line to Minneapolis/St. Paul. The junction has changed a bit from the days of the Soo Line and Milwaukee Road.
