Description:  NS V31's power for the nocturnal rock train to the Vulcan Plant on the ex-NF&D line. That particular line is famous for running second-generation EMD diesels most of the time, although a GE is leading this time. B32-8 #3561 crawls east to head into the siding. Word has it that NS will be getting rid of the B32s soon! I certainly hope not, as I love these and I think they are beautiful units!

Description:  An NS loaded coal train rolls east just outside of Suffolk. I would've shot on the other side, but I didn't have any other choice, as there was not a good place to shoot on the other side. Technically, I was probably close enough to be trespassing on NS property, but this train was only doing maybe 25 miles per hour so it didn't really matter.
