Description:  It was possible in the beginning of BNSF Trackage Rights across the Rio Grande to catch pure power consists of it's former predecessor roads of either Burlington Northern or Santa Fe. As was the case on March 2,1997 when two SD40-2's with a B30-7B sandwiched between lead a short 9 car train on the former Rio Grande. Geneva Steel can be seen on the left and was built in the 1940's.
