Built in 1906 for the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad, which became a subsidiary of the Burlington Route 2 years later-hence the F.W.D. lettering under the cab but the Burlington Route logo on the tender. It was so good at switching, it was still in service in 1951, even though diesels were starting to take over. |

In the late 1960s, the car was converted to a work car for maintenance. All but five of the open sections were removed, a lunch counter was added, and the car was painted aluminum. When the museum acquired it in 1990, they repainted it in its Missouri Pacific Eagle Scheme, though it could use some touching up! |
