Description:  This is Morrison’s CORN-KITS mill along the Union Pacific (originally Texas & Pacific) in Denton, Texas. The vacant area in the foreground was once occupied by a small Missouri-Kansas-Texas yard. The track belongs to the Denton County Transportation Authority’s A-Train line from Denton to Carrollton, which utilizes 21 miles of the former Katy DENTON SUBDIVISION right-of-way which once ran from Denton to Dallas.

Description:  Denton County Transportation Authority southbound A-Train 7921 was leaving the DOWNTOWN DENTON TRANSIT CENTER on the beginning if its 21-miles trip to the TRINITY MILLS station in Carrollton. The train consisted of railcar 106, one of 11 DCTA model GTW 2/6 diesel multiple unit sets built by Stadler Rail in Switzerland. GTW is the German abbreviation for Gelenktriebwagen, or articulated railcar.
