Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4819 and another unit whose number is not recorded. Both are GG-1's (2-C-C-2) and rated at 4,620 horsepower each. #4819 was built in Juniata during May of 1935. (Tchowee"; #6 of 27)

Description:  Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken near Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania, in May of 1965. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Pennsylvania No. 4419, Class E-44, Wormleysburg, Pa., 1965." Shown here (R to L) is PRR engine #4419 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are E-44 (C-C) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4419 was constructed in September of 1961. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Electric Railroading ~ Penn Central and Pennsylvania Lines" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (868-11).
