BO 2-6-6-2 #7504 - Baltimore & Ohio
Title:  BO 2-6-6-2 #7504 - Baltimore & Ohio
Description:  Long and powerful are two words that describe this Alco-Schenectady 2-6-6-2 built in July of 1914 originally as Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh $704. . In 1932, it was added officially to the B&O roster as #7504. The loco lasted until April of 1951 when it was sold for scrap. That must have made a huge pile of scrap metal! Original specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressuer, 23.5x37" high pressure cylinders, 37x32" low pressure cylinders, engine wt of 429,000 lb and an impressive 80,000 lb tractive force. Description:  This brdige was destroyed by a tornado on July 21, 2003. Prior to being destroyed, the bridge was being fixed to strengthen the structure, and the portions that remain standing are the parts that were already fiixed. It is unknown if the bridge will be rebuilt or stay as it is now.
