Description:  Here is an original photo by Douglas C. Jones that was taken in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, on 4 October 1953. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #3885 and #3843. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata during 1923; #3885 was retired in March of 1954, but #3843 was retired in October of 1955. They are pulling the excursion train across the PRR's Cumberland Valley Railroad Bridge on their way back to Washington. Note the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad rolling stock. #8 of 14.

Description:  Zak. Here is duplicated 35mm color slide (converted to B&W) of a photo by Martin S. Zak that was taken in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, perhaps in 1955. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8220, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works durine December of 6913 and retired in February of 1960 after 47 years of faithful service. Produced and distributed by Stanley Color Slides of Beverly Hills, California; "R-78. PRR.%#8220. 2-8-0. Lemoyne, PA."

Description:  Aerotrain. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, in November of 1956. The photographer is not identified. Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. In this context, it's being towed to Enola by PRR engine #5581 ~ a BS-10A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in April of 1950 and rated at 1,000 horsepower.

Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4458 and another "Brick" whose road number is not recorded. Both are E-44's (C-C) built by General Electric and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4458 was built in May of 1963.

Description:  At the east end of Enola, trains went down the Port Road Branch, which connected to the Northeast Corridor at Perryville MD. At one time, when the PRR owned that line, it was a busy piece of railroad, and the stomping ground of GG 1s. Now its SD40-2s, such as this one with a 102 car PPLX coal train.
