Description:  Huntingdon. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, during October of 1965. Shown here is the PRR's Crossing Gate Tower that protects the grade crossing for Huntingdon's 4th Street, just before the Juniata River Bridge. It is co-located at the Passenger Station that serves not only the PRR, but also the Huntingdon Broad Top Mountain Railroad. The clock tower on the Huntingdon County Court House is also visible on the right.

Description:  Huntingdon. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, during October of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2250, #2272, and two other units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by EMD. #2250 is an EF-22 built in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2272 is an EF-25 built in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight train through the Huntingdon Station after crossing 4th Street. More of the train is visible in the distance as it snakes around the "S" curve just East of the Station.

Description:  Huntingdon. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, during October of 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #8618, an AS-18M built by the American Locomotive Company in 1956 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. It is running light through the Huntingdon Station, and is about to cross 4th Street under the watchful eyes of the Crossing Gate operator.

Description:  Here is page eight of a nine-page cover article by Jerry A. Pinkepank entitled "On Behalf Of Baldwin." It was published originally in the December 1967 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 29. Photo by Don Wood. Partial Caption: "En route from Enola to Altoona, Pa., a pair of Pennsy Centipedes articulate their way westward with a deadheading Alco switcher in tow in the consist behind." Both "Centipedes" are BH-50's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as BP-60 passenger engines rated at 3,000 horsepower each, but later regeared and reclassified as 2,250 horsepower BH-50's for freight only. #5828 was constructed in November of 1948 and retired in April of 1962.

Description:  PC Power. Here is an original photo that I took of a Penn Central Railroad train near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 5 June 1975. Shown here are PC engines #6278 and #2297. Both were built by GM-EMD. #6278 is an SD40, while #2297 is a GP35. They are pulling an eastbound merchandise freight (with autoracks) and are about to cross State Route 829 ~ just off of US Route 22, East of Huntingdon. The mountains of the Juniata River Valley dominate the background.
