Description:  DRGW 3129, built in 1983 with sister locomotive 3130 as wreck replacement locomotives for two other DRGW GP40-2s. These two were the last GP40s built for Rio Grande, nnd 9 years after the previous order in 1974. The two 1983 bodels are externally more similar to the GP50 on the conductor side as seen here, unique to the this locomotiwe and the former 3130. This locomotive has since recieved a full Union Pacific repaint.

Description:  ...and other industries along the active portion of the former Marcola Line, which extends from Mohawk Jct. at MP 619 on the UP mainline to to Lehighs Cement which serves as the terminal for the active portion of the line, which is about 1/4 mile behind UP 1232. NOTE: The spur on the left (and for that matter right, if you notice it) have long been abandoned and out of use, and the the tracks and grade crossing remain. (I have an album you can check out showing some of the remains of the abandoned part of the branch, which include oregons oldest standing trestle built in 1882, on my contributer sit if youre interested.)

Description:  The 4720 has spent nearly a decade on various spur tracks that have fallen out of use in and around Springfield, this time being the Former Lehigh spur. I'm glad they brought it out in the open, it has spent a couple of years hidden in the Springfield Yard around Rosboro making it nearly impossible to photograph.
