SRS 147
Title:  SRS 147
Description:  Sperry Rail Service ( SRS ) 147 at Bensenville, Illinois on November 17, 1985, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 147 was built in June 1976 by SRS in Brooklyn using a Hillebrand body, was rebuilt in 1999, renumbered 200, then shipped to Sweden in May of that year.

SRS 128
Title:  SRS 128
Description:  Sperry Rail Service 128 at Beatrice, Nebraska on July 11, 1959, Kodachrome by Lou Schmitz, Chuck Zeiler collection. According to the book, 'From Horsecars To Streamliners, An Illustrated History Of The Saint Louis Car Company', Number 128 was built in September 1925 as B&O 6007 but was rejected. The body was by Saint Louis Car Company (order number 1386B) and was powered by a Winton 106A gasoline engine (c/n 363) which produced 220 horsepower. The electrical equipment was supplied by GE. It was rebuilt and sold in February 1928 to Lehigh Valley as number 15. As built it weighed 40 tons, 59 foot length, had a baggage section, and could seat 49 people. It was sold to SRS in March 1939, becoming number 128.

Description:  Sperry Rail Service 129 at Elmhurst, Illinois on an unknown day in June 1981, Kodachrome by Edward M. DeRouin, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 129 was built in July 1925 as Lehigh Valley 29. The body was built by Saint Louis Car Company (Job Order 1376A), powered by a Winton 106A six cylinder gasoline engine (c/n 133) producing 220 horsepower, and the electrical equipment was supplied by GE. As built, it had a baggage section and seated 42 passengers. It was sold to SRS in April 1938.

Description:  Sperry Rail Service 135 at Waynesville, North Carolina on February 28, 1980, Kodachrome by Gib Allbach, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 135 was built by Saint Louis Car Company September 21, 1927 ( Job # 1459 ) as Seaboard Air Line 2023, powered by a Winton Model 120 275 hp 6-cylinder gasoline engine ( EMC c/n 262 ), sold to SRS in April 1945, renumbered to 135, retired in 2003, to Danbury Railway Museum in 2004.

SRS 137

Description:  Sperry Rail Service 137 at Gordon, Nebraska on August 28, 1982, Kodachrome by Jim Altman, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 137 was built in April 1925 by Saint Louis Car Company (Job 1360C) and equipped with an EMC Winton gasoline engine ( EMC # 117) as Minneapolis Saint Paul & Sault Sainte Marie M-1, renumbered in 1942 to X-1450. It went to the SOO Line and in February 1970 was sold to Automation Industries Inc, Sperry Rail Service Division as SRS 137.

SRS 139
Title:  SRS 139
Description:  Sperry Rail Service 139 at Waynesville, North Carolina on March 31, 1981, Kodachrome by Gib Allbach, Chuck Zeiler collection. Various sources indicate this was former C&NW 300890. In April 1926, Saint Louis Car Company built three gas-electric cars on Job # 1394 for the C&NW, numbered 9901-9903. They were equipped with EMC Winton gasoline engines (EMC #'s 148-150). In 1942, one car was converted to trailer 9950 and in 1945 the other two were converted to trailers 9951 and 9952. On December 31, 1951, number 9952 was renumbered to C&NW X300889. In 1973 one car was sold to Automation Industries Inc, Sperry Rail Service Division. By process of elimination, SRS 139 was either former C&NW 9950 or 9951.
