Description:  Q253-02 slowly proceeding west down Track 4. Note the open door on this hot humid day. I'm not sure if this old loco has any A/C in it. This SD40-2 has an interesting history. Built as L&N 1258 SD40 in May 1971. Later became CSX 8334 SD40, before somehow ending up as SP 8629 SD40M-2. When it came back to CSX the second time, it got its old number again.

Description:  An SD50-3/SD50-2 helper pair are briefly held at the Westbound Absolute Signals near the Amtrak station in Connellsville. Due to major track and signal work a few miles east of here, helpers have not been able to enter or leave the Connellsville yard they way they used to. So now they are using the western end.

Description:  This was something I didn't expect to see on a train around here. A GP40-2 leaser going for a ride on train Q394-13. One of seven engines. This is relatively new for a GP40-2, built in November 1984 as SP 7242. Later became ICE 4200 "City of Kansas City". It is still in that paint scheme.

Description:  New Safetran "Darth Vader" style signals have taken the place of a B&O-era CPL signal at Greene Junction's WH Tower, where the shortline SWP Railroad meets the CSX Keystone Subdivision. There is a yellow X painted on WH Tower. I sure hope that is not a bad omen. The old signal mast and wiring lies on the ground, now relagated to junk.
