The Stately Wilbur Trestle
Title:  The Stately Wilbur Trestle
Description:  Just a shot of the Wilbur Trestle that most of you probably havent seen before. It was originally double-tracked. The tunnel was recently raised on the left side to accomidate stack trains. It aint pretty but it does the job. The bridge literally begins at the mouth of the tunnel. It stands over 150 feet above the Rondout Creek below. The quaint little village below is actually part of Kingston City proper.

ICE on the Hudson
Title:  ICE on the Hudson
Description:  I got a heads up from a fellow railfan down south. The lighting wasnt good, but the opportunity to get foreign power along the RiverLine is always a thrill! That is the Mid-Hudson Bridge in the background, that takes Rt. US44 and NY55 to Poughkeepsie.

A chilly parting shot...
Title:  A chilly parting shot...
Description:  Mr. Columbus is freeeezzzziiinnngggg as he points the way south, and this last train of my day drifts by. Again, the sun decided to go away as this train passed. The Newburgh waterfront, usually buzzing with activity, is completely barren, like an arctic tundra today.
