Album Info:Traffic on the Norfolk Southern 3 mainlines in East Chicago can get congested, especially where the three merge into two just before crossing the shipping channel in East Chicago. No surprise then when a westbound NS double stack train slows as stops as an Amtrak train threads the needle between an eastbound CSX mixed freight and the NS double stack train. For a few minutes, the tracks are solid with traffic . . . and then a few minutes later, cleared so the NS double stack train could continue.
