Looking North at Leland
Title:  Looking North at Leland
Description:  Picture taken at Leland Depot (mile 139.6) looking north. There was still a lot of activity here in 1973. Leland still had a switch engine, agent, and day-time operator in this picture. The last passenger train to stop here was the Delta Express on March 27, 1965. This station was last used as a train order office in 1982. The local that ran between Cleveland and Vicksburg stopped here to set out and pick up cars for the Leland Switcher. The depot and tracks here are all gone now.
