A very nice consist, although early in the morning a sister train, 40A featured the Central of Georgia heritage unit. Sadly, she showed up before the sun did. However, none the less, this satisified my craving for a unit grain.

Description:  Still standing in Jamestown, Tennessee is the former Oneida & Western railroad station. This was O&W's western terminal. The O&W operated between here and Oneida, Tennessee where it connected with the Southern Railway's CNO&TP. The railroad mainly hauled coal, lumber and the local mail. The last train departed this station on March 2nd, 1954 at 2:03pm. It has been used as a feed store and the baggage room as an arcade since then. Today it sits rotting.

The Day the Train Came to Town
Title:  The Day the Train Came to Town
Description:  Its a sunny Friday afternoon in the small town of Monterey, Tennessee where I find three Nashville & Eastern B40-8W's parked at the Monterey Sand Mine tied down for the evening. Tomorrow, this historic 50 car train will be loaded here, the first time a train of that length has visited the former Tennessee Central Railroad in over 35 years. Its the first time in a few weeks a train has been to Monterey, the last being a historic 40 cars long. Now, with 50 cars for the loading, it is quietly showing a small economic resurgence in this small town in middle Tennessee.

Description:  NS 961 comes off the double track at the south end of Clinton, Tennessee. For me, this would be the last I'd catch these units on the chase due to the fact I lost them because of curvy backroads. I did have to wait on them at Powell, however they were already crossing the road. I attempted to take I-75 into Knoxville and get them at the station, however that didn't work out either. A great day though. Was nice meeting up with fellow railfans Peyton Gupton and Evan Lofback at this location briefly.
