Album Info:Monday was Family Day in Ontario and I had the day off from school. So we headed up to Brantford to watch some trains. When we arrived we had a high yellow on the North track indicating that a freight would be doing a yard move. Ten minutes later CN 2414 came into view with two locomotives trailing. They were CN 2120 a new locomotive aquired from Union Pacific and an ex Chicago and Northwestern unit, also in tow was CN 2627. They stopped and dropped a cut of gondolas in the yard. While they were working the yard a intermodel came into view with a Illinois Central SD70 number 1011 leading and CN 5789 trailing. Closely following IC 1011 was a Via with number 6408 on the point still sporting the Spider Man 2 paint scheme. Via 6408 was on the South track at Brantford and had to switch over to the North at Masseys to allow CN 5475 and CN 2509 to lead a mixed freight westbound. We went over to Hardy Road to get some more shots. CN 580 lead by GP9 7025 went by with about thirty cars in tow from Paris. Then about ten minutes later CN 5714 went through slowly to cross over to the South track. He had a long mixed freight behind him with some interesting cars trailing. There was a old C&O hopper and some other cool hoppers. For a few hours of train watching I saw three Eastbound freights a Eastbound Via and one Westbound freight. IC 1011 is one of the recently modified SD70's to be overhauled by CN to be able to lead in Canada!
