Album Info: There were two newsworthy events at the DSRX this past summer. First the railroad began operations with a VIP run on July 24th followed by commencement of routine passenger operation on July 31st, 2010. These two milestones marked 5 years of hard work by the team of volunteers of which this reporter is a summer time member. The ridership thru early September was very successful. Second was the arrival of DSRX 1055 an Alco from the Conway Scenic RR. This locomotive originally worked around Portland Maine at #1055 for the Portland Terminal Co. http://www.downeastscenicrail.org/ride/about/downeast-rail-heritage-preservation-trust/
