Title:  HLCX 4415
Description:  Built new for C&O, to CSX, to Helm and rebuilt to GP40-3 specs and used as warranty protection power. Due to lackluster performance this group was returned to Helm and entered the general lease pool. The former Amtrak units featured HEP pass through connections although it is hard to see in this photo. In this shot, 4415 is working on lease to UP.

Description:  Delivered new in 1978, wrecked five months later and rebuilt with an EMD cab. 107 was retired April 2005 and returned as RP20 2678 sans the EMD cab. If my memory serves, there are a few other MP GEs with EMD cabs and an SD40 with a GE cab somewhere.

Description:  Former ADM, Conrail, LV, sitting in a UP yard in Texas. A well traveled switcher. Note the red painted handrail along the hood and the chain for the outer handrail. At last report this SW9 works for Gavilon Fertilizers with only 8934 barely visibile in the front numberboard.

Title:  EMDX 810
Description:  Delivered to Penn Central as GP38-2 8010 in August 1972, this locomotive rolled into the Conrail fleet wearing the same number until lease expiration and became EMDX 810. This this photo 810 is on lease to Southern Pacific wearing Conrail blue with GM and EMD logos applied over the Conrail markings with patches of PC black returning. This locomotive later became LLPX 2340 wearing full UP paint without UP markings until joining the GATX lease fleet and becoming GMTX 2193 but still in Armor Yellow. Note the Santa Fe yellow sunshade.

Description:  I rolled up to the Miller Yard ready tracks and found this GP20 sitting around waiting for the next train out of town. The cabside road number has been touched up but the rest is left to rust. 4153 has been deturbocharged and by this date was the final GP20 in active service being retired in 1996.

Description:  A recently purchased Chicago & Illinois Midland SD38-2 rolls into Fort Worth after purchase by Union Pacific. Built in May 1974 as CIM 75 SD38-2, Union Pacific purchased this diesel on February 20, 1995 first becoming UP 75 then UP 2805 on June 5, 1995, and finally UPY 805 on September 7, 2001.
