Description:  The grain train continues north towards Newago. It was a very rare treat to catch this train. Trains don't run on this line on Sundays, and, when they do run, they run at night.

Depot + Water Tower
Title:  Depot + Water Tower
Description:  The old Pere Marquette station in Grant, Michigan. The depot is now a diner. The water tower, one of the few remaining in Michigan, is used by Grant's Fire Dept. to refill their water truck. The tracks are still used six days a week by CSXT.

Description:  This is one of the last remaining wooden water towers in the state of Michigan. It is used by the Grant Fire Department to refill their truck.

Description:  CSX 2256 leads D712 out of Manistee. I didn't expect them to run on the Fourth of July, but they did. A dog followed me to the crossing, but took off running when it heard the horn. LOL
