Some Geeps pushing an industrial switching train from behind
Title:  Some Geeps pushing an industrial switching train from behind
Description:  This was the first time Ive ever seen a GP38AC. They look very similar to the -2s dont they, aside from minor differences. RP didnt like this shot because of the grass covering the trucks. Damn picky people.

Another angle of the switching train
Title:  Another angle of the switching train
Description:  Lead by a GP38AC, this train progressed slowly along the brooks sub. This was also the first time I saw a CP Caboose, and there was even a guy inside it!

An ES44AC in the evening
Title:  An ES44AC in the evening
Description:  This was the last train of the day for me, and to be honest it was the best. To hear those GEs working their way up the steep grade out of medicine hat is just amazing. RP apparently doesnt like scenery, so they rejected this for bad cropping.

CEFX leaser coming down the hill
Title:  CEFX leaser coming down the hill
Description:  First leaser I saw this trip (and only so far) To be honest the power here is pretty standard.. its a bit of a dissapointment since my dad has all these great pics of SD40Fs and SD90MACs and SOO engines on this trackage and all Ive seen so far are AC44s and ES44s. This shot was rejected from RP for "bad color". Seriously guys... you know I cant make trees green with magic.

Redcliff switching train from the bridge
Title:  Redcliff switching train from the bridge
Description:  Coming back from the Cousins industrial spur. Kinda overexposed because I was using my mom's camera and I didn't realize at the time that it overexposes about .7 stops.

An ex-ATSF GE Dash 7 on the Great Sandhills Railway
Title:  An ex-ATSF GE Dash 7 on the Great Sandhills Railway
Description:  Was I ever surprised when I went to visit my 99 year old aunt to find a shortline! The GSR is a very busy shorline, mostly serving the GST grain elevator. Most trains are 100+ cars!

The GST grain elevator
Title:  The GST grain elevator
Description:  This train was very long for a shortline. Over 100 grain cars and 5 tankers at the end (from the burstall subs industrial lead) make this quite the haul.
