WE 302 (8)
Title:  WE 302 (8)
Description:  A GP40-3 soaks up some unseasonably warm December sunshine on train Z564-01. I did not have any sunny closeup shots of this one yet so it was time to do something about that. Number 303 is the one Ive covered more. This one has had the paint touched up on the conductors door in 2012, and it looks much better now. The Wheeling and Lake Erie takes great pride in their engines. WE 302 was built in August 1968 as Penn Central 3113 GP40. Later became Conrail 3113, DRGW 3173, DRGW 3131, and WE 3131. Rebuilt into a GP40-3 in December 2004.

WE 300 and 305
Title:  WE 300 and 305
Description:  #300, the oddity of the Wheeling and Lake Eries locomotive roster, is going to be leading on train Z565-06 when a new crew arrives. I hope this dark and stealthy looking thing never gets repainted.

WE 302 and 305 Winter (1)
Title:  WE 302 and 305 Winter (1)
Description:  The three-man crew for train Z565-25 has arrived for a 17:00 start time to go west out of Connellsville. #302 was already idling for them and hopefully the heat was on in there too. The temperature could only make it to 20 degrees. An interesting thing, this was a CSX crew.

Title:  WE 302 Winter (2)
