Description:  This is the former Missouri Pacific locomotive servicing area, as viewed from the South Canal Street (U.S. 84) bridge. The MP had stopped operating its car float across the Mississippi River in June 1982, and turned the operation of its Natchez trackage over to the ICG. The track passed over the approach to the Mississippi River bridge, and then descended the bluff down to the railroad's train ferry landing.
