With it's snubber removed from the center axel and Timken bearings placed in rebuilt Hyett Bearing cases, This rebuilt truck should give many more years of service.

Description:  Five GP38-2s stand gaurd on this old Gulfport Ms. to Hattiesburg Ms. line with a cut of flat cars while Hurricane Gustav hammers on the area. The weather has put dampers on the area and has flooded parts of the railroad system in this region. Although not as bad as Katrina and Cameal of years past. This set of power with two KCS white units and two leased HLCX GP38-2 and one KCS gray unit will have plenty of work to do after the passing of the storm. My travels to this region was brought on by a emergancy Fema load of generaitors I pulled in from Montgomery Al. The weather was no doubt less than desirable with high winds and heavy rain in areas.

Description:  The rear end of SD50 8600 stands tall and strong still true to it's owner. The 50 series was the last of EMD line of locomotives to use the 645 type prime mover and with the 50 line, it was pushed to it's limits. Now holding down local assighnments and sometime accasional manifest trains, this former coal hualer has steped down from those duties and given them to newer AC traction units.

Description:  CSXT 900420 now the personal property of J.T. Hopper, a CSX employee who moved this ex Chessie cab to his back yard. It will soon where colors of L&N which is Jim's favorite road and where his railroad carear started in L&N's track department. Thus the skill of laying his own track. Once completed it will be fully restored in and out. CSXT 900420 was last used by CSX as a shoving platform in yard service and never had it's windows plated over.
