This tie plate is on an abandoned stretch of what was the old CB&Q connection to the C&NW at Turner, now West Chicago. This track follows the alignment of the original Aurora Branch from Hill Yard in Aurora to the end of track about 12 miles north. There is an additional mile or so that exists in bits and pieces up to a block or two short of the UP today. |
