Album Info:This album features photos from Pan Am's Connecticut operations. Based out of Plainville, Connecticut, train PL-1 works a variety of customers on a number of branches. The train runs from Plainville to East Deerfield, MA. once a week, most often on Saturdays, and returns south on Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week.

Description:  PL-1 was assigned two units this week: MEC 351 and MEC 509, which was making a very rare appearance in Plainville due to the fact that it doesn't have cab signals required for Amtrak's Springfield Line. Today 509 ran solo on a trip west to Terryville and Waterbury after working the Plainville Yard on a very warm June morning.

Description:  A gaggle of power idles away on the Canal Line in Plainville on a sunny winter morning. GP40-2LW 519, leased Providence & Worcester GP38 2010, GP40 352, GP40-2LW 501, and GMTX GP40 3109 (wearing a blue dip scheme but lacking Pan Am lettering) compose the lineup. This is the P&W unit's first appearance in Plainville, and seeing two ex-CN widecabs here is a special treat.
