I took this pic with a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 zoom lens, using my Nikon D200 DSLR, set to manual, since this is one of the lenses from my old film Nikon cameras. Camera was set at ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/60 sec. Lens was zoomed all the way in for this pic, yielding a 35mm equivalent focal length of 315mm. |

The northbound Amtrak Texas Eagle is over 10 hours late as it blasts its way through the South Broadway crossing, just west of Davis Junction on the Union Pacific DeSoto Subdivision. This was a rare photo opportunity, as the train normally comes through before daylight. Here I took advantage of the opportunity to catch it in rare late afternoon perfect light!! |
