ESNA 12-6-0 #1 - Eureka Springs & North Arkansas
Title:  ESNA 12-6-0 #1 - Eureka Springs & North Arkansas
Description:  Built by Baldwin in November of 1906, this led an interesting life after piecing together as many strings as I could find. Originally it was built for the Lufking Land & Lumber Company of Lufkin, TX. . After 7 years, the loco was sold to Carter-Kelly Lumber Company of Camden, TX, as their #1 in 1913. The loco then moved over to Moscow, Damden & St August RR #1, then to Shreveport, Houston & Gulf #1 in Manning Texas. Somehow, it ended up back at Carter-Kelly Company where it was stored for years. Then it was moved to Malvern, Arkansas to be part of the Richard A. Grigsby collection. Somehow, it made a jump to Eureka Springs & North Arkansas RR. Partial specs - wood burner, 48" drivers, 15x22" cylinders. Rail fan Jim Lockart took this color slide whle visiting there sometime in the 1990's.
