Album Info:I went out to chase a southbound on July 16, after hearing a horn from the house. I'd been wanting to get down to Bunch OK to do some shots, but which I had not been able to get, as most times I'd catch a northbound at Stilwell. The light was good, and the train was moving, so unless something spectacular showed up at Stilwell, I was going to take the southbound to Bunch. Wouldn't you know, at Stilwell, something spectacular....

Over the crossing
Title:  Over the crossing
Description:  As with most of these chases, it started with a horn echoing across the land, though the one I heard was from a northbound. I took off, to find that the northbound had already gotten into town, but was meeting a southbound. Decisions, decisions!! The southbound had a KCS unit leading, so off I went: doomed paint scheme, and good light. I caught up to him at Watts, but under a cloud. I finally got this first shot at Chewie Rd as it came through the crossing and S curve there.

Description:  I waited for the train to pass, to see what the DPU looked like. It was the now familiar combination of a CP and KCS unit, which has become common with two unit consists. The two power sets bracket 95 cars.

I had originally thought I'd chase the southbound to Bunch, to get a couple of shots near Cave Springs and Bunch that I've had in mind, but have not caught trains going that way. Then this showed up.
