VTA Oakridge Branch
Title:  VTA Oakridge Branch
Description:  In South San Jose, we cross the tracks of VTAs Oakridge Branch. This line connects the Station at Ohlone-Chynoweth with the busy Oakridge Mall Complex. This line is usually served by a single unit shuttling between the stations. Chynoweth is just around the bend in front of the camera, and Oakridge is on the other side of the elevated Highway 85.

Description:  A VTA sign welcomes visitors to their San Jose Capitol Station. This portion of the Alum Rock District is elevated, and runs on the center divider on Highway 87. The station is above and to the right of the sign, on the 87/Capitol overpass.

Station Underpass
Title:  Station Underpass
Description:  We are at street level, under Highway 87 at San Jose. This is the entrance for the Capitol station, named after the expressway its entrance is on. Just out of frame, behind the black car is an ecalator leading up to the level of the freeway and the light-rail tracks, which run from here north to downtown.

Snell Avenue Station.
Title:  Snell Avenue Station.
Description:  We drive past the Snell station. We are on Highway 85, and this part of the freeway cuts through a large residential district. Trains on the Alum Rock Division run through here on their way to Downtown San Jose.

Description:  A VTA light-rail runs along Highway 85 in San Jose, California. VTA numbers its light-rail units with an A or B. Most trains on the Alum Rock Division run with two units, and this one is no different.

Description:  VTA LRCs 969B and 932A rumble down the Alum Rock Division between the stations Ohlone-Chynoweth and Blossom Hill. The next stop is Blossom Hill, after which are the Snell Avenue, Cottle Road, and Santa Teresa stations.
