Description:
This is a sharp looking 4-6-0 ten wheeler with its polished casing and white sidewalls. Specs - serial #47311, class F-2h(k), 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x26" cylinders, engine weight of 204,600 lb, tractive effort of 32,429 lb. Retirement came in January of 1952. J.R. Quinn photo

Built by Alco-Schenectady in 1910 as NYC 2038, it became RUT 72 when it transferred to their roster. The loco lasted until October of 1951 which was a long stretch of service. Nice shot by J.R. Quinn of the fireman at his window in the idling 2-8-0 Consolidation built by Alco-Schenectady in 1910. After a 41 year service record, this loco was retired in August of 1951. Specs - serial #48013, class G-34b, 63" drivers, 195 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 213,000 lb. No date or location was given for the photo.
