Album Info:Here is a two page article by Mr. J.C. O'Hearn entitled "Whistles." It was published originally in the March 1945 issue of "Trains" magazine, pages 6-7. "The railroad whistle is in a class by itself. It is one of the most romantic sounds one ever hears. To lie in bed, late at night, and hear some distant flyer whistling for a crossing, is to experience the feeling that one has heard the eerie horns of elfland blowing beyond the horizon. The note is haunting beyond words, with an insistent melancholy that defies description." (Page 6)
