Album Info:Topeka's really, really, close to Lawrence, so it was only a matter of time before I got there. Good thing I did, too! There's a 2-6-2 Prairie Type Santa Fe steam engine in Watson Park, a former Santa Fe depot that's now an Amtrak station, and a former Union Pacific depot that now sees LOTS of trains daily. I saw it all on my day in Lawrence, and you can too! The Union Pacific station is now a visitors center; great place to watch trains from if you are ever in town. Enjoy!

Description:  Just like in Topeka, the Santa Fe station is one the railroad rebuilt in the 1950s, it is newer than the Union Pacifics original structure which is still standing, and Amtrak uses the Santa Fe station.
