Album Info:Providence and Worcester's Pawtucket Yards was located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island alongside the Amtrak Northeast Corridor. Under New Haven, the freight shed was used by a subsidiary company, New England Transportation. Lately home to Boston Rail and Capco Steel for steel unloading and processing. Before vacating, Robert’s Chemical unloaded tanks cars of Peroxide in a fenced in enclosure. Sadly, 27 December 2011, the freight shed being demolished. Future of the yard in doubt.

Description:  Original Providence and Worcester freight house - the roof with its clerestory windows admitting air and light thru the building. Box cars would be unloaded on the right side. New sliding doors have been added at this end while two carpenters work on the other end. Didn't take long for the graffiti boys to do their lousy deed!

Description:  From the old New Haven days ... you'd find one of these wherever there were power switches. This one done the Lawn Interlocking. There was a similar tank at Boston Switch for that interlocking. All those small blue flames flickering in the snow when it was dark made for an eerie sight!
